It is now time for FUN renovation decisions!
The boring but necessary part is nearly through… walls have been torn down and rebuilt (no wood paneling anymore!!), the floors have been ripped up and replaced (gone are the 4 DIFFERENT laminate floors in one small hallway and 3 rooms!), 3 dumpsters have been hauled off with old walls and insulation, walls have been added downstairs and rooms magically “created”, popcorn ceiling is NO MORE! So many great and amazing changes over the last two months. I can not believe it. We have gone up to visit every few weekends to see what they have been working on and I promise you, we have THE BEST contractor and THE BEST decorator in North Georgia / Western North Carolina. They have both been helpful, kind, honest, trustworthy and so very very very good at what they do.
I am excited to share a few of the fun items we have picked out to make our lake home an awesome renovated vacation rental home for you and my family too!
The New & Improved Kitchen
This is the new design of our kitchen! We have picked out cabinets (a light grey stain) and knocked out a wall, added a pantry and cabinets that go to the ceiling!
Kitchen Cabinets & Paint
We have decided on stain for the kitchen cabinets because that is so durable… they look great (stay tuned for more photos) and easy to clean.
The paint colors are from Sherwin Williams and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them so much!!! I am heading up tomorrow to see it because the entire house has been painted by now! Whoo Hoo

FLOOR The Flooring is from Floor & Decor in Alpharetta, GA and is Luxury Vinyl - Weathered Charcoal Rigid Core
TILEThe Backsplash is a tile made by Zumpano that looks handmade (but it’s not!) and it is a great price point! We purchased it locally from Carl Patterson Flooring in Hayesville.
Lighting
Overwhelming. So many choices and SO expensive! I found these great lights at City Plumbing & Electric in Hayesville, NC. They had great choices and the prices were very competitive for the light fixture. I also got my Kohler farmhouse sink here and I LOVE it already!!
